Mr. Eaves’ has over 17 years experience mapping business strategy to IT and conducting the requisite process and organizational analysis to maintain business and IT alignment. He has worked with such organizations as Countrywide, Agilent Technologies, CB Richard Ellis, and numerous agencies and departments within the State of California including DMV and Caltrans.
Mr. Eaves has extensive experience in enterprise architecture, strategic IT consulting, business process re-engineering and project management.
Mr. Eaves has over nine years of experience as an executive-level consultant to many of the departments and agencies within the State of California. As such, he has developed background knowledge in some of the major information systems in the State and has knowledge of the State’s processes and practices (e.g., procurement, oversight, budgeting). Mr. Eaves has helped departments and agencies deal with the challenges of furthering e-Government and those related to the constant stream of legislation impacting their information systems.
Mr. Eaves is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College with a dual degree in Economics/Mathematics. Mr. Eaves holds the following professional certifications:

Darren Chiappinelli, Vice President
Mr. Chiappinelli has a deep background in software engineering, enterprise architecture, and program management consulting . He has led programs and initiatives for clients such as AT&T, DirecTV, Toyota, and the State of California. Mr. Chiappinelli brings 12 years of information technology experience working on systems and projects from several million to several hundred million dollars.
Mr. Chiappinelli is a US Army Veteran and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY where he concentrated in computer science engineering. In addition to being a Sabot principal, Mr. Chiappinelli serves on the board of the National Wild Horse Center. Prior to co-founding Sabot, he worked as a manager and senior engineer in a renowned software engineering company and as a senior manager in a “Big 6” management consulting firm.

Derek Scoble, Manager
Mr. Derek Scoble is an IT professional with over 25 years experience in the commercial, federal, and state government arenas. As a specialist in high-profile, challenged project domains he is recognized for his direct and decisive management style balanced with humor and experience-based intuition. Mr. Scoble has extensive business operations and project management experience, with specialties in decision support tool development, operational assessments, procurement consulting, risk management, Software Quality Assurance (SQA), Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), methodologies and standards development, and all aspects of software and systems testing. He has developed and delivered training courses in IT Project Management (PM), Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and IV&V. He is an accomplished speaker who has presented IT management related topics at the International Test and Evaluation (ITEA) World Conference, University of Montana, and the NASSCOM Quality Summit in Bangalore, India.
Mr. Scoble served in the US Navy and received a Bachelor in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, from National University and a Master’s of Science in Information Systems, from Western International University. Mr. Scoble is member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the IEEE Standards Association and Computer Society. He also served on the National Association of State CIO’s (NASCIO’s) IT Business Case Subcommittee.
